Douglas Lima's broken hand forces postponement of fight with Ben Saunders

We'll have to wait a little longer to find out who will win Bellator's current welterweight tournament.

Douglas Lima broke his hand during his knockout victory over Bryan Baker in the tournament semifinals on Feb. 21. That means his championship fight against Ben Saunders (16-5-2), scheduled for March 21 in Lewiston, Maine, has been postponed.

Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney announced the news Tuesday via Twitter.

Lima (24-5), who has won his last three fights via KO/TKO, confirmed the news via his own Twitter account. "So disappointed, but looks like I won't be able to fight March 21st.," Lima tweeted. "I broke my hand against Baker and the doctor told me not to fight."

Bellator has yet to announce a new date for the fight, a rematch of the Season 5 final won by Lima in 2011, but it is expected to take place during the upcoming Summer Series.
