Round 1: Marc Goodard will oversee this one, as the first-ever TUF: Brazil champ is crowned. Pepey goes in for a flying knee, but Bezerra catches him with a left hand. Wild swinging from both guys. Pepey's going for broke, misses with a combo, bulls Bezerra along the fence, and then pulls guard. Pepey works for a Kimura and is committed to it. Bezerra has his hands locked, and manages to escape the hold. Goddard warns Pepey for punches to the back of the head. Goddard stands them up with two minutes left. Pepey rushes into a big flying knee, Pepey tries to pull guard and Bezerra slams him hard to the mat. Pepey more active from the bottom than Bezerra from the top late. Round 2: Slower pace in the opening minute. Pepey rushes in and connects with a left. They clinch and Pepey pulls guard again. Will be interesting to see how the judges respond to this tactic. Goddard again warns Pepey about punches to the back of the head. Bezerra stands up and Pepey follows him. Bezerra catches Pepey with a big counter right. Two minutes left. Bezerra connects with a left hook. One minute left. Pepey throws a left hook and a jab. Bezerra tags Pepey with a right hook. Pepey misses with a spinning back fist and Bezerra counters with a jab. Round 3: Bezerra hits Pepey hard with a straight counter right, dropping him to his knees. Standing again. One minute in. Bezerra lands another big counter, but otherwise, not a ton of urgency being shown. Bezerra takes a kick to the groin and we have a break. Joe Rogan babbles about "cup technology." Fight restarts and Bezerra comes out swinging. A clinch along the fence, Pepey tries to pull guard and misses. Pepey on his back, Bezerra standing. Goddard allows Pepey to stand. One minute left and Pepey nails Bezerra with a low blow again. No point deduction. Fight starts again. Not much of note late. Crowd boos. Griffin-Bonnar this was not.
