Ultimate Fighter Live Blog: Max Holloway vs. Pat Schilling

This is the Ultimate Fighter live blog for Max Holloway vs. Pat Schilling, a featherweight bout on tonight's UFC event from the Palms in Las Vegas.

Holloway, who lost his UFC debut at UFC 143, will face Schilling, who also lost his UFC debut at UFC on FX, on the main card.

Round 1: Chris Tognoni is the ref for this featherweight fight. Schilling pursues a single leg, then tries for a double, but Holloway's having none of it. Schilling switches back to a single and gets a takedown, but they're right back up. Holloway keeps Schilling honest with a body kick. Holloway misses a big uppercut, then sprawls a Schilling takedown attempt. Midway through. Schilling lands a spinning back first. Holloway answers with a right hand. Holloway with combos to the body and head. Holloway gets the best of an exchange in the last minute. Schilling goes for a takedown but doesn't get it. Round 2: Early action ends up with Schilling clinching Holloway against the fence, but the latter escapes. Holloway guards against a leg kick on the left and eats an uppercut with his right. Holloway drops Schilling, then backs off. Holloway lands a couple knees from a Muay Thai clinch. Schiling hurt, scampers to safety. Schilling covers up and Holloway's using Schilling for target practice. Schilling against the fence, Holloway peppers him with body shots. Seems like a matter of time at this point. Schilling catches a kick, takes Schilling down, but Hollloway gets back to his feet. Another brutal body shot. Schilling's hands drop. Holloway just misses with a knee as the round mercifully ends. Round 3: Schilling answers a Holloway combo with a big right hand. Holloway seems to be picking his spots, knowing the decision's going his way. Two minutes in. Holloway with a straight left and an overhand right which drops Schilling. Holloway lets him back up. Holloway evades a single-leg. Holloway's nose is busted open.
