SAN JOSE -- This is the Strikeforce live blog for Nah-Shon Burrell vs. Chris Spang, a welterweight bout on tonight's Strikeforce event from HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

Burrell, who has won his last three Strikeforce fights, will compete against Spang, who is 1-1 in his Strikeforce career, on the main card.

Round 1: Josh Rosenthal is your referee. Burrell not respecting Spang's height and reach advantage early, zooming in and out and throwing straight punches. An exchange leads to a clinch along the fence. Spang lands a couple knees and an elbow before they head back to center. Spang drops Burrell with a big left hand. Burrell back up and Spang opens up. Big knee by Spang. He throws several more. One knee after another. Burrell does his best to hang on, but after he hits the deck, Rosenthal waves it off.

Chris Spang wins via TKO (strikes) at 1:35 of round one.
