Round 1: Verin Jalel is the referee in charge. Both fighters open orthodox, but Johnson switches stances. Decent body kick from Johnson as he begins to feel out Bagautinov.
MMA Fighting scores this round 10-9 Johnson

Round 2: Johnson level changes for a takedown and is stuffed.
MMA Fighting scores this round 10-9 Johnson

Round 3: Decent inside leg kick for Johnson to start the round, then another. Johnson double pumps and lands a left hand plus another head kick. Bagautinov is pressing Johnson into the fence, but Johnson puts on the Thai plum and drives knees upward to the Dagestani's face and bread basket. Johnson lands a shot and shows unreal range and trunk movement. More insane combinations from Johnson and he scores with an outside leg kick. Bagautinov manages to get behind the champion and lifts him for a slam, but again, Johnson stands, separates and lands a right hand. They clinch again, but nothing happens. Bagautinov goes for a throw, but Johnson whizzers hard and stuffs it. From a leg ride, Johnson punches Bagautinov in the face until the final bell.

MMA Fighting scores this round 10-9 Johnson

Round 4: Johnson level changes for a takedown, but Bagautinov sees it and stuffs it. Very hard right hand by Johnson works, then a blistering body kick. Bagautinov is there, but isn't able to to get much of anything going. Johnson at this point is doing whatever he wants. He's in and out on all the strikes, and this goes on for what seems like minutes. Johnson takes Bagautinov's back in a scramble and gets both hooks in just before the final bell.

MMA Fighting scores this round 10-9 Johnson

Round 5: Johnson is on a a takedown, but it's stuffed. Johnson now throwing hard knees from the clinch.

Round 1: John McCarthy is the referee in charge of the action. Both fighters open orthodox. MacDonald whiffs on a leg kick, but has taken center of the Octagon right away. Woodley punches his way into the clinch. Woodley is throwing knees to the body and foot stomps. Great body kick scores for Woodley after MacDonald misses with the Brazilian kick. MacDonald misses with a front kick and Woodley tries to use it for a single leg, but lets it go. Great body kick from MacDonald and he's still stalking. Woodley charges in and and eats a knee to the body, but he's pressing the Canadian against the fence. They separate and Woodley eats a rough body kick. Woodley chases down a takedown, but MacDonald is up right away and back to pressuring. Now an excellent jab from MacDonald to the body. Woodley is fat fiooted and MacDonald is attacking the body over and over.

MMA Fighting scores this round 10-9 MacDonald

Round 2: MacDonald is out to the center of the cage right away. Woodley sneaks in a short right hand and a hard outside leg kick. And another. MacDonald eats another hard leg kick, but is pressing forward and lands a teep. Good right hand to the body and then scores with a middle kick, Woodley just eating it. MacDonald opening up with combinations now, although not all of it is landing. Woodley is connecting on the outside leg kick over and over, but not much else. Good jab snaps Woodley's head back and MacDonald has totally cornered the American. MacDonald is pressuring Woodley into the narrowest of spaces, landing boxing combinations over and over. Woodley is totally reactive.

MMA Fighting scores this round 10-9 MacDonald

Round 3: Woodley comes out charging and lands a couple good punches, but is slowing down again. Now it's deja vu with MacDonald pressuring Woodley backwards and mixing up his strikes. Woodley gets off the fence and as he over extends on a punch, MacDonald times a knee tap takedown and gets it. MacDonald postures up out of Woodley's guard and tries to land a big punch, but moves to butterfly guard. MacDonald stands again and this time lands a hard shot on top. He tries again and this time moves to mount, then side control. Woodley is now wrapped in a modified cradle of sorts and just being battered by the Canadian until the bell rings.

Tanaka sweeps to top position in the scramble. Delorme gets warned for grabbing the cage but it served its purpose, as he begins to climb to his feet along the fence. Tanaka working hard to keep him down. Not much happening other than the battle to keep Delorme on his back. Delorme attempting to throw his legs up for a triangle but no dice. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Tanaka.

Round 2: Tanaka cracks Delorme with a hard one-off right hand. Tanaka wades inside with another flurry and Delorme throws his hands up, trying to goad him into a firefight. Tanaka doesn't bite though, as he continues to circle and dart in and out with strikes. Tanaka pressures Delorme up against the fence and judo trips him onto his back. Round one all over again. Tanaka scoots Delorme away from the fence and this crowd is starting to get a bit restless. Tanaka slides into half guard. Not much damage here, but Tanaka is in complete control. Just as I write that, a few short elbows seem to cut Delorme under his eye. Tanaka sees it an unloads a few more short shots. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Tanaka. (20-18 Tanaka.)

Round 3: Delorme's corner tells him that he needs a finish and they're probably right. Delorme trying as hard as possible to cut off the Octagon but Tanaka is just too elusive. Tanaka swarms inside and gets the trip. Delorme scrambles and nearly sweeps into top position. Tanaka continues to move and, wow, incredibly slick sweep from Delorme and the American jumps right into mount. This is his chance. And just like that, it's gone. Tanaka sweeps into top control then goes back to work with short punches and elbows. Delorme's cut bursts open as blood streams from under his eye. More short elbows from Tanaka, who advances into mount. Delorme hip escapes to reclaim his half guard, but Tanaka is dominating him.
