New details surrounding Jon Jones’ recent arrest have been revealed after the police report from the incident was released by the Las Vegas police department.

MMA Fighting obtained a copy of the police report through a public records request.

According to the report, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at Caesars Palace after a call stating that a white female adult, later identified as Jones’ fiancée Jessie Moses, was bleeding from “her nose/mouth.”

After police arrived, they were informed that the suspect had just left the property and was picked up by another unit outside the hotel where he identified himself as Jon Jones. Police then stated that the former UFC champion resisted arrest as he was being taken into custody.

“As Jones was being detained, he became irate and smashed his head into the front hood of the [Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department] patrol vehicle leaving a medium size dent as well as chipping of some of the paint on the vehicle,” police wrote in the report.

Jones was later charged with injuring or disabling a vehicle, which due to the amount of the damage done is considered a felony in Nevada.

Back at Caesars Palace, police made contact with Moses, who stated that she is engaged to Jones and they have been together for 17 years with three children together. Moses denied that she had been arguing with Jones but added that around 11:30 p.m. local time, he went out with his friends while she stayed in the hotel room.

Moses then stated that “she was sleeping and Jones came back, [he] was not very happy” and when asked if he got physical with her, she answered, “a little bit yeah.”

Moses then claimed that Jones “touched the back of my head and pulled my hair a little bit but he did not hit me or anything.” Moses explained that Jones allegedly grabbed her by the hair because she was “trying to leave the room.”

Police then observed blood on her clothing and a bump with “dried up blood on the lower part of her lip as if she was in a physical altercation.” Moses said she was unaware that anything happened to her lip while adding, “I know they are really dry.”

According to police, Moses had blood “around her lips, chin and all over her sweatshirt” along with a swollen lower lip, with officers stating she “seemed scared to even talk about” Jones.

The initial call to police came after Moses went to the security desk at the hotel asking for a key to her room, which is when a guard noticed that she had blood on her lip and clothing. The report states Moses began tearing up and she said she was scared to go back to her room, with one of their children asking, “Can you call the cops?”

After police conducted an initial interview with Moses, who didn’t want to be recorded and declined to fill out a voluntary statement, she asked the officers, “How long do I have until he is out?”

“She still seemed very scared as to the release of Jonathan from jail,” the report said.

Moses declined filing for a protective order against Jones.

As for the former UFC light heavyweight champion, police said that he was read his Miranda rights but then became “extremely agitated” and stated that he will have a “huge lawsuit” filed against the police department for putting him in handcuffs “on the biggest night of his life.”

Jones was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame just hours before the incident occurred.

Police say that Jones broke down into tears and was alternating between acting agitated and angry to speaking to the officers calmly and then crying. Jones explained to the arresting officers that he’s been going through a lot of personal issues with his fiancée and they had been “arguing about the tension between them.”

Jones told police he informed Moses that he was taking $10,000 and going to a local strip club and he denied that he ever touched her or pulled her hair, nor did he see that she had a bloody nose or lip from the incident.

Jones was then informed that he was going to be taken into custody for domestic violence as well as the damage done to the police vehicle. Police state that Jones then “[joked] about the arrest” while saying that “he would like to take us all on and see what we could do.”

Police added that Jones joked he could escape the handcuffs, but officers told him if he continued to resist arrest that he would be tased, at which point he apologized and complied with the officers.

Jones was then transported to a local holding facility where he was charged with misdemeanor battery domestic as well as a felony charge for the damage done to the police car. He was later released on bond and is due back in court on Oct. 26.

To date, Jones has not made any public statement regarding the incident.

They MUST have an open relationship

It couldn’t have been a surprise to her that he was going to end up at a strip club in Vegas. But surely his buddies could have ponied up for the whores on the biggest night of his life and spare his fiance the indignity of flashing it in her face. I lay the blame for this fiasco on Jon’s buddies.

I mean they've been together for 17 years but still not married

Jon has been outright admitting banging girls and taking pills to do it. I guess she just accepts all the BS she has to go through with Jon to have a nice life for herself and the kids. The guy is just absolute scum.

That life doesn’t seem so nice

youd be suprised on what people will do to be taken care of.

some women will stay in bad relationships cause of fear, money or both. just like how some men will stay with an abusive women cause shes hot.

Or because of certain "talents"

It’s not all about looks

She's trapped

If he marries her she can divorce him and make sure her and the kids are protected, but since they aren’t married it’s probably unclear what she’s entitled to.

Also, she might be worried about him taking her kids.

He’s rich and famous and if they separate she likely is not entitled to any of that without child support.

He’s an abuser. He has trapped her in a situation she feels like she can’t get help. That’s standard abuser behavior.

Very sad to read if you know anything about abusive relationships

She is terrified of him and has likely been abused verablly/phyiscally a lot while they have been together.

Also its clear jon has problems that he feels like he can’t get help for

After this much time, palimony comes into play, maybe

I’m sure someone here knows more than I do about it

Issue is money for lawyers. She’d have to use a basic one while he can buy a proper team to rip her past apart

Eh. I think a smart lawyer wouldn’t require payment up front

He or she would get paid well in the end and maybe get some useful publicity out of it.

Very sad situation.

There are professional rules of responsibility that lawyers must abide by, especially in family law (i.e., divorce, etc.) cases. One of which is taking on these cases with commissions/%’s on results, etc.

How does that work?

Its been many years

Since I’ve taken these classes, but, Rule 1.5 ABA Model Rules of Responsibility:

(d) A lawyer shall not enter into an arrangement for, charge, or collect:

(1) any fee in a domestic relations matter, the payment or amount of which is contingent upon the securing of a divorce or upon the amount of alimony or support, or property settlement in lieu thereof; or

(2) a contingent fee for representing a defendant in a criminal case.

That’s basically what I was trying to imply. Since they aren’t married, there’s so much uncertainty for her. Especially after being together for 17 years and 3 kids to take care of? Easier said than done when it comes to leaving someone. If they were married though, things would be different.

Not sure how it works with kids

But where I am (Canada), all that’s required is living together for 6 months, then you’re common-law (ie married) in the eyes of the law. I’ve been with my gf/partner/wife for 12 years and we have no plans to get married. My parents have been together for 45 years and aren’t married. You don’t need a ceremony to be legally married here.

It varies, state to state.

New Mexico doesn’t recognize common law as a legal marriage.

I'm sure it's different everywhere

But since we’re all speculating, the report and transcript make it sound like she’s afraid of him / is a victim of abuse.

I mention New Mexico because that’s where they live…wasn’t meant as speculation.

But yes, the report makes me think she’s controlled, scared and that this has happened before.

Gotcha, thanks

I read elsewhere that the lady and kids live in NY

And Jones splits his time between there and NM

NY also doesn’t recognize common law, unless it’s established elsewhere.

He’s found the perfect loophole.
