The Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz main card begins now. First up, welterweights Angel Beltran and Alan Sanchez.

Angel Beltran vs. Alan Sanchez

Round 1: Beltran advancing with his jab. Sanchez throws out a wide counter, to get Beltran’s attention. Beltran with a good shot to the body. Looks like Sanchez is just looking to land with power as Beltran walks him down. Sanchez swinging at air. There’s a jab by Sanchez. Right hand lands for Sanchez. There’s an exchange at the bell, not a ton to score there.

Round 2: Beltran lands a hard left hook and Sanchez felt that one. Beltran pressing forward. Sanchez starts with a trio of punches to the body, but he eats a left hook for his troubles. They trade jabs. Sanchez staying busy. He’s sticking the body. More good jabs from Sanchez. Beltran scores with a straight right. They trade body shots. Beltran scoring to the head. Beltran on the attack to end the round, but he walks into a Sanchez combination. Fun round!

Round 3: Sanchez opens the fight with a right hand. Beltran throwing with power as he chases Sanchez. Right hand bangs against Beltran’s head. Beltran lands a couple of good shots, Sanchez answers with a pair of counters. Sanchez to the body again. He’s picked up the pace considerably after Round 1. Beltran looking for an opening to land an uppercut. Quick overhand right by Sanchez scores. Beltran lands a clean jab. There’s another right hand score for Sanchez.

Round 4: Sanchez tags Beltran with another good right. Beltran stalks him and connects with a body shot. Sanchez throws a hard right, Beltran responds with a combination. Sanchez’s jab has been effective. Good combination by Sanchez. Beltran scores with an uppercut. There’s a body shot for Beltran. He’s firing, but can’t get out of the way of that Sanchez right. Two hard punches land for Sanchez as Beltran just tries to walk through the offense.

Round 5: Sanchez ducks in for a body shot, Beltran pushes him to the ropes and scores with a couple of good punches. They’re dueling with their jabs. Sanchez with a combination to the body, Beltran answers with a body shot of his own. Slip and rip by Sanchez. Beltran fires an uppercut into the body. Sanchez logs another combo. Good right from Sanchez as Beltran drops the hands, but Beltran fires a right down the pipe. These two are busting each other up. I’ve got Sanchez up all the way, but these are some close rounds.

Round 6: Beltran to the body, Sanchez with a counter combo. Beltran sticking with body work. He’s getting his licks in, but for much of the match his strategy has just been to walk through Sanchez’s punches. A stiff uppercut lands for Beltran. Sanchez stops him in his tracks with a jab. Beltran advances with a combination, Sanchez counters with a left right across the chin. Sanchez with another right hand on the money near the end of the round.

Round 7: Sanchez tags Beltran with a left as he circles. Beltran pumps his jab in Sanchez’s face. Good jab from Sanchez. That has just been giving Beltran a headache all fight. Beltran tags Sanchez with a crisp jab. Both men firing and scoring with straight punches. Sanchez staying busy with the jab. Beltran lands a short left hook. There it is again and Sanchez has to adjust.

Round 8: Beltran goes to the body as he navigates Sanchez’s jab. Sanchez lands another hard right hand. Beltran with the right now. Sanchez hits an uppercut. Sanchez sticks and moves with a left hand to the body. Big punch from Sanchez and Beltran retreats. Sanchez staying patient, he gets in there with two more good punches. Beltran answers with a couple of hard counters, he’s headhunting. Left from Sanchez, then a straight right. Counter right by Beltran. They rip at each other’s bodies and then start throwing with 10 seconds remaining. Great fight!

Round 1: Green holding center. She’s waiting for Curry to get into range. Glancing right by Green. Curry just probing with her punches, she catches an advancing Green with a left. Green circling away looking to counter. Counter right scores for Curry. Curry doubles up with a left and lands. Green with a couple of good jabs. Right hand connects for Green. Curry pushes the pace in the final seconds.

Round 2: Green more active with the jab to start Round 2. There’s a right hand for Green. Green pops Curry with a 1-2. Green with a couple of good shots to the body. Curry throws a punch in close, Green answers and this is a phone-booth fight all of a sudden. Green landing the heavier blows, but Curry isn’t backing down. Green cracks her with an overhand right. Left hook for Green. Curry staying in her face. She’s smacked by an uppercut.

Big finish for Green as she catches an advancing Curry with three clean right hands. That gives her the round for me.

Round 6: Curry goes inside and tries to make this one ugly. They’re both playing with fire as they drive uppercuts and hooks into each other. Big right from Green stuns Curry. An uppercut sends Curry’s head up and back. Still, Curry refuses to retreat. She’s getting tagged though. Another right hits Curry right in the face. Three-punch combo for Green and Curry is in trouble. Right hand by Green has Curry off-balance. There’s the bell, lucky for Curry.

Round 7: Green confidently holding the center of the ring now. For every shot Curry lands, Green is landing two hard ones. There’s a right hook from Curry as she’s using more footwork in this round. Green uses a straight right to keep her at range. Big right by Green. That punch is landing at will. Curry’s chin the only thing keeping her in this fight right now. Left uppercut right on the chin by Green. Green completely in control.

Round 8: Green keeping a steady stream of punches coming in the first 30 seconds of the eighth. Curry firing back when she can, but she’s outmatched. That Green uppercut sneaks through the guard again. Right hand for Green. She banks another round, even though she’s slowing down.

Round 9: Green content to jab and counter the zombie-like Curry. Curry lets her hands go with Green backed up against the ropes. Overhand left scores for Curry. Right hand connects for Green. Green jabbing and circling. Counter right cracks Curry and she’s smiling through it. Two more right hands from Green as we head to the tenth.

Round 10: Curry comes out hot with a combination. Green making most of the punches bounce off her gloves and arms. Right hand scores for Green. Curry giving as good as she’s getting in this round (well, maybe getting it a little worse). Green using that counter left to coast to the win.

Highly touted Most Valuable Promotions prospect Ashton “H2O” Sylve up next against the more experienced William Silva.

H2O Sylve vs. William Silva

Round 1: Good step in left from Sylve, though Silva is right there to meet him with a counter combo. Jab to the body by Sylve. Silva counters to the body. He’s seeing an opening in Sylve’s defenses. Another hook to the body by Silva. Quick uppercut scores for Silva. Sylve scores with the left. Good left hook by Sylve. Silva scores with a right hand. He catches Sylve with it again. The 10-second bell goes off and both guys stop fighting, a little confusion there. Fortunately for both fighters, not much comes of the awkward moment.

Round 2: Sylve’s counters falling just short as Silva jabs at him. He changes tacts and attacks Silva’s body. Three-punch combo by Silva puts Sylve on the defensive. Uppercut by Sylve as he creates some distance. Right to the body for Sylve. He sneaks a right over the top. Uppercut by Silva. Sylve looking confident as he puts together a combination. Body shot drops Silva out of nowhere! He is hurting, but answers the count. The bell puts an end to this round.

Round 3: They trade body shots. Sylve with a couple of fast lefts up top. Silva definitely wary of another body strike. Silva to the body a couple of times, he gets a warning that one of his punches was a little low. Sylve loose in there, his left hand finding a home. A trio of punches land for Sylve in close. Silva pops him with a fast right. Sylve sets up the right again with a fast combo. Right gets through for Sylve. He’s light on his feet. Sylve throwing hammers at Silva’s body.

Round 4: Sylve keeping his distance, trying to get Silva’s timing. Sylve rips the body. He scores with two more punches to the midsection. Left hand from Silva scores if he circles away. Silva throws a hook to the body. Sylve gets loose and scores with a flurry. Left hook lands heavy for Sylve, who just narrowly avoids a Silva counter left. Counter left from Sylve scores, he follows with a 1-2 and he has Silva strictly on the defensive. There’s another body shot just before the bell, down goes Silva! He doesn’t get up this time.

Longtime UFC veteran Jeremy Stephens takes MMA fighter-turned-boxer Chris Avila next.

Jeremy Stephens vs. Chris Avila

Round 1: Avila opens with a power right. Welcome to boxing, Jeremy! Avila with a ton of confidence, clearly. He connects with a right to the body. Right hand gets past Stephens’ glove and connects. Stephens with a quick flurry, he’s working to bully Avila into the corner. Corner punches his way out of there. There’s a right down the middle for Stephens. Jab from Avila. Stephens leading with his left, he’s backed up by an Avila overhand left. Stephens hunting with that uppercut. Avila back to the body. Good left from Avila to close the round.

Round 2: Avila again opens with an overhand right, but this time Stephens immediately answers with a combination. Nice pressure by Stephens. Avila is scoring with his jab, but not following up in this round. Glancing right across the body from Avila. There’s an exchange that sees both fighters scoring. Right hand over the top smacks Stephens’ chin. Avila scores with a sharp left hook. Avila with a 1-2 on the money.

Round 3: Stephens coming out aggressively like he knows he’s down. He can’t quite get that right hand to land. Avila smiles as Stephens fires an overhand right. Avila using the jab to set up his right hand. Stephens with a warning for behind-the-head shots. Avila with savvy head movement to avoid Stephens’ power shots. Stephens closing the distance, but not having success once he’s in close. Avila mixing up the head and body shots. Left hook by Avila scores. Stephens’ power right just hasn’t found a home yet.

Round 4: Stephens sets Avila up and finally gets a right through the defenses. But Avila answers right back with a couple of power punches. Left hook has Stephens guessing, which leaves him open to a couple of body shots. Avila taking his time to land accurate punches. Stephens leading with his head and getting picked apart. Avila with a booming right. He starts clipping Stephens’ body, then follows with head shots. He taunts Stephens after the UFC vet misses wildly.

Avila just pressing forward and landing straight shot after straight shot.

Avila scores with a right across the chin. Big combo by Avila to put an exclamation point on a one-sided performance.

Round 1: Your referee for this championship bout is Laurence Cole. Nice check right by Serrano. Hardy coming in a little wild. Serrano fires a couple of rights to the body. She backs hardy up with a power left. Serrano is scoring with combinations. Fast start for the champ. Another left stings Hardy. Hardy scrappy, but visibly a step behind Serrano. Hard left from Serrano with Hardy against the ropes. Hardy fires in a few body shots.

Round 2: Jab from Serrano to start Round 2. She catches an off-balance Hardy with a body shot. Punches in bunches from Serrano. The only thing that slows her down is the referee warning her to keep her punches up. Hardy is absorbing right hooks and body shots, she’s just not in this one yet. Serrano mixing in uppercuts now. Stiff body shot by Serrano. She’s just teeing off on Hardy’s head.

Round 3: Hardy sticking and moving more, wise to avoid a brawl. Big counter right cracks Hardy. She’s targeting the body, but can’t get in there without Serrano blasting her. Round 4: Hardy lands a hard right, Serrano walking through and slugging away. Body shot from Serrano answered by a pair from Hardy. Straight left backs Hardy up, Serrano follows with a right uppercut. Jab halts Hardy’s offense. A ton of heart from Hardy, as always, but the output just isn’t there. Hardy bangs a punch to the body. She’s showing plenty of fight. Serrano walks her down with a combination.

Round 5: Hardy is way down, but she is throwing heavy leather still. Serrano matching her punch for punch but she’s not running away with this round. Looping left by Hardy scores. Round 6: Serrano off to a fast start this time. She tags Hardy with a 1-2 and she is all over her here. Hardy lands a right, only single shots from her so far. Serrano drives an uppercut home. Short right scores for Hardy. They are brawling along the ropes. Big left lands on a retreating Hardy. She’s telegraphing that left and Hardy avoids it for what’s left of the round.

Round 7: They open Round 7 trading shots in the center of the ring. Neither fighter giving up ground, though Serrano looks to gradually be taking the advantage. Just as I type that, Hardy punches her way out of trouble. Serrano takes a left from Hardy to score two power punches of her own. More good punches from Serrano and Hardy just keeps on coming. Serrano walks straight into an overhand right. Serrano cracks Hardy right back.

Round 8: Hardy making good use of head movement to avoid Serrano’s opening flurry. Serrano is relentless though and it’s only a matter of time until the starts finding Hardy’s chin again. The champ sticking with straight punches to win these exchanges. Check right by Serrano scores. Hardy’s wearing this battle on her face and still standing and trading.

Round 9: Hardy is asked before the round if she wants to continue and she looks incredulous. The fight resumes and she immediately starts brawling with Serrano again. Serrano’s right hand has been the difference maker and that trend is continuing. Left down the middle by Serrano. Hardy is on the ropes, but is fighting to work her way out as Serrano swarms her. Blood streaming right down the middle of Hardy’s face and the referee wants her checked out again. He clarifies that the cut is from an accidental clash of heads, so they just needed to clean it up. Both fighters staying busy to the round bell.

Round 10: The fighters embrace as we head to the last two minutes. Serrano swarms again, Hardy welcomes her with a few wild bombs. Holy cow, they are just firing non-stop. Insane pace right now with 90 seconds remaining. The pace slows and they just start hammering each others’ midsections. Serrano lands that left and Hardy finally shows signs of slowing down. Serrano with more power punches, but Hardy marches forward again. Serrano lights Hardy up with a series of punches to close this one out. Hearty round of applause for these two.
