Ian Garry is nicknamed “The Future” and his future begins at “The World’s Most Famous Arena.”

The UFC announced Wednesday that the undefeated former Cage Warriors champion will make his debut for the promotion in a welterweight bout against Jordan Williams (9-5) at UFC 268. That pay-per-view event takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Nov. 6.

Garry (7-0) signed with the UFC this past July. He enters the promotion with an unblemished record after a seven-fight run with Cage Warriors in which he scored four knockouts and submission. In his most recent fight, the 23-year-old Irishman defeated Jack Grant by unanimous decision to capture a vacant Cage Warriors welterweight championship. He made his amateur debut in 2017 and turned pro in 2019.

Williams seeks his first UFC win after earning a contract on season three of the Contender Series with a first-round knockout of Gregory Rodrigues. In his two UFC appearances, he dropped a unanimous decision to Nassourdine Imavov and then lost by first-round submission to Mickey Gall.

UFC 268 is headlined by a pair of championship rematches as Kamaru Usman defends the welterweight title against rival Colby Covington, and Rose Namajunas defends the strawweight title against Zhang Weili.
