The main event features Brunson, the No. 5 ranked middleweight in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, opposite No. 10 ranked Till, a one-time welterweight title challenger who moved up to 185 pounds after high-profile setbacks at 170 pounds.
Till’s popularity as a headliner is contrasted by his recent resume in which he’s gone 1-3 in the octagon. Since moving to middleweight, he’s 1-1 with a decision loss to ex-champ Robert Whittaker in his previous outing in July 2020. If he is to stay in the title picture, he’ll need to beat Brunson, a 185-pound veteran who’s won four straight since back-to-back losses in fights against current champ Israel Adesanya and Ronaldo Souza. In his most recent outing, he smothered the surging Kevin Holland.
