Two flyweights in search of a second UFC victory will clash in December.

MMA Fighting confirmed with sources with knowledge of the matchup that Manel Kape (16-6) will fight Zhalgas Zhumagulov (14-5) on Dec. 4 at a location still to be determined.

The bout was first announced by Zhumagulov via his social media:

In his most recent outing, Kape scored his first UFC victory with a first-round knockout of Ode Osbourne. That snapped a two-fight skid for the former RIZIN champion, who dropped a close split decision to Matheus Nicolau in March and a unanimous decision to Alexandre Pantoja in his UFC debut this past February.

Zhumagulov is also coming off of his first UFC win. The Kazakhstan native submitted Jerome Rivera inside of a round following decision losses to Amir Albazi and Raulian Paiva. In his announcement, Zhumagulov added that his fight against Kape will be the first of a new contract.
