Video: Jorge Masvidal reenacts famous UFC 239 flying knee knockout on Chris Jericho at AEW show

Jorge Masvidal can add a pro wrestling legend to his hit list.

The ‘BMF’ champion was involved in a segment at an All Elite Wrestling event that aired Friday night that saw him knock out AEW talent Chris Jericho with a flying knee reminiscent of the famous strike that he used to defeat Ben Askren in just five seconds at UFC 239.

Watch the highlight above.

The segment was part of an ongoing angle that has seen American Top Team coach Dan Lambert verbally assault AEW’s roster and product. Backing up Lambert in the clip were former UFC heavyweight champions Andrei Arlovski and Junior dos Santos, current BKFC standout Paige VanZant, and top-ranked Bellator middleweight Austin Vanderford as backup. He has also aligned himself in storyline with AEW wrestlers Ethan Page and Scorpion Sky, a tag team known as “Men of the Year.”

The segment was filmed at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.
