A press conference promoting a super middleweight title unifier between champs Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant nearly turned into a full-fledged fight after Alvarez pushed Plant.
After recovering his balance, Plant calmly walked forward and then threw a left slap at Alvarez, who ducked and threw his own pair of strikes as security officials quickly intervened.
Alvarez’s strikes left a visible cut under Plant’s right eye, per a photo posted by Twitter user MacMally.
