Bellator 266 in Tweets: Pros react to Phil Davis’ win over Yoel Romero

Going into Bellator 266, fight fans had no idea what to expect from Phil Davis and Yoel Romero.

With former Bellator champion Davis coming off a decision loss to champion Vadim Nemkov, he was in desperate need of a victory to maintain his place in the light heavyweight rankings. Similarly, Romero was looking to get back into the win column after coming up short to UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in their lackluster fight at UFC 248.

But after 15 minutes of grueling action, it was Davis’ wrestling that proved to be the deciding factor en route to a split decision.
