Like the rest of the world, Dana White was well aware of what went down Sunday evening at the MTV Video Music Awards between his biggest star, and one of music’s popular artists.

Photos and videos surfaced of Conor McGregor and Machine Gun Kelly having to be separated following a near physical altercation on the VMAs red carpet, where McGregor looked to have thrown a drink on the rapper. Fortunately, nothing worse transpired and the night continued without incident.

Following Tuesday’s DWCS Season 5, Week 3 event at the APEX in Las Vegas, White was asked if he had spoken to the former two-division champion when speaking with reporters.

“I talked to both actually,” White said. “They’re all good now. It was a misunderstanding, or whatever it was. I think TMZ grabbed Conor [on Tuesday] and he said there was no problem.”

McGregor isn’t a stranger to finding himself in tough situations outside of the octagon as he’s trying to recover from a broken tibia suffered in his TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July.

While many fans seem to be concerned about McGregor, the UFC president is chalking it up to a business where that kind of behavior is par for the course.

“Guys, this is the fight business,” White explained. “I’ve got 700 f*ckin’ lunatics under contract here. What do you guys think? These are the things that happen sometimes. This isn’t Microsoft. We’re in a crazy f*cking business here. We’re in a crazy business and I think we all know Conor’s personality and we’ve got some guys that are like that. These guys are fighters and this is the fight business. Crazy sh*t happens in the fight business.

“There’s the sh*t you guys know about because it happens in public, never mind the sh*t you don’t know about that happens every day.”
