A heavyweight clash between Alexander Volkov and Marcin Tybura will go down at UFC’s upcoming event in Abu Dhabi on Oct. 30, multiple people with knowledge of the booking told MMA Fighting.

UFC 267 will be headlined by Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira for the light heavyweight championship, with bantamweight titleholder Aljamain Sterling rematching Petr Yan in the co-main event.

Volkov (33-9), ranked No. 6 in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, looks to rebound from a five-round decision defeat to Ciryl Gane in June. The former Bellator champion was coming off back-to-back stoppage wins over Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris prior to his recent setback.

Tybura (22-6) now sits at No. 8 in the world after five straight wins inside the octagon since February 2020, with the most recent three over Ben Rothwell, Greg Hardy and Walt Harris. Tybura, who like Volkov is a former M-1 heavyweight titleholder, has won nine of 14 since joining the UFC in 2016.

UFC 267 will also feature the highly anticipated return to Khamzat Chimaev opposite Jingliang Li, the return of Islam Makhachev versus Rafael dos Anjos, and Amanda Ribas vs. Virna Jandiroba at strawweight.
