Ariane Lipski and Mandy Bohm won’t be fighting this Saturday.
MMA Fighting confirmed with sources that a flyweight bout between Lipski (13-7) and Bohm (7-0, 1 NC) originally scheduled to take place at UFC Vegas 36 has been pushed back to the Sept. 18 card due to Bohm experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms.
Bohm did not undergo a test for the virus, but isolated at home as soon as symptoms arose. It is expected that she will leave isolation in a couple of days to see a doctor and then be cleared to travel and compete in Las Vegas.
Lipski is searching for her first win of the year after losing by second-round TKO to Montana De La Rosa in June. She has lost two straight after scoring a highlight-reel kneebar submission against Luana Carolina at UFC Fight Island 2.
This rescheduled date will be Bohm’s UFC debut, which has already been postponed twice. “Monster” most recently fought at Bellator Milan last October where she won a unanimous decision over Griet Eeckhout.
