James Gallagher is home again.
Bellator officially announced Tuesday that Gallagher (11-1) will face Patchy Mix (14-1) in the bantamweight headliner of Bellator 270, which takes place at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, on Nov. 5, a location and date that had previously been targeted.
Ireland’s Gallagher takes a Bellator booking in his home country for the fourth time. He is unbeaten in Dublin and in his most recent appearance there at Bellator 227 two years ago, he defeated Roman Salazar by guillotine choke submission in 35 seconds. Gallagher has won four straight since suffering the lone loss of his career to Ricky Bandejas, most recently scoring a first-round submission of Cal Ellenor last October.
Mix could get a streak of his own going as he looks to build on a third-round submission of Albert Morales at Bellator 258 in May. He is 4-1 competing for Bellator and RIZIN with all of those wins coming by way of submission. His only loss was a decision to Juan Archuleta in a vacant Bellator bantamweight championship bout.
In the co-main event, Peter Queally fights Patricky “Pitbull” Freire in an immediate rematch from Bellator 258. Queally won by doctor stoppage at the end of Round 2 due to bleeding from a cut on Freire’s forehead.
Bellator 270 will air live in the U.S. on Showtime at 5 p.m. ET (a replay will air at 10 p.m. ET), in the U.K. on BBC iPlayer, and in Ireland on Virgin Media Two & Virgin Media Sport.
