Five straight opponents fell to Josiane Nunes’ fists heading into UFC Vegas 34, and after she left the octagon on Saturday, that number was six.
Nunes clocked Bea Malecki with a left hook just six seconds before the end of the opening frame, forcing referee intervention for the fourth straight time on the prelims of the ESPN+ card.

The finishing blow wasn’t by far the first that the tightly wound Nunes landed. Malecki began to slow down as the damage accumulated and she covered up to escape punching flurries. The taller Malecki snuck in a head kick amid one onslaught, but it wasn’t enough to deter her opponent, who continued to enter exchanges with low kicks and superman punches that split the guard. The official time of stoppage was 4:54.
Altogether, Nunes has won seven straight fights with six stoppages. Malecki, a veteran of The Ultimate Fighter 28, suffers the first professional loss of her career after four straight wins.
