Alan Patrick and Mason Jones will run it back in October.

“Nuguette” and “The Dragon” met in a lightweight showdown in June, but it ended with no winners after an accidental eye poke to the Brazilian resulted in a no-contest in the second round. The rematch is set for the upcoming UFC Fight Night show in Las Vegas, NV, on Oct. 23.

Both fighters confirmed the news on social media following a report from Combate.

Patrick (15-3, 1 no contest) is in desperate need for a victory after a three-fight winless skid, a couple of losses to Scott Holtzman and Bobby Green prior to the recent no-contest. “Nuguette” went 5-1 in the octagon in his first six UFC appearances.

Jones (10-1, 1 no contest) won the Cage Warriors lightweight and welterweight titles before joining the UFC in 2021, but has yet to secure a win under the company’s banner following a decision setback to Mike Davis.

The Fight Night card will be headlined by a five-round clash between former middleweight title contenders Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori.
