The UFC veteran, who was originally scheduled to face Steve Mowry and then agreed to take on replacement Kelvin Tiller, will now throw hands with Billy Swanson, who steps in after Tiller was forced out due to undisclosed reasons just days before the event, promotion officials told MMA Fighting.
Golm vs. Swanson will be featured in the the main card portion of Bellator 265, which airs live on Showtime. Heavyweight veterans Cheick Kongo and Sergei Kharitonov battle in the headlining attraction.
Golm (8-3) was let go by the UFC after a 1-3 run in the company between 2017 and 2019, but rebounded with a couple of stoppage victories in Florida since then.
Swanson (4-1) turned pro in 2018 after a 9-1 run in amateur MMA, including a 2017 win at one of Bellator’s Nascar shows in Talladega. “Big Sexy” scored three of his four professional wins via stoppage.
