Featherweight Eko Roni Saputra scored one of the best knockouts of 2021 at ONE Championship: Battleground 2, a previously-recorded event that aired on tape delay Friday.

Saputra entered the cage on a four-fight winning streak with all victories coming inside the first round, but outdid himself against Liu Peng Shuai, landing a powerful right hand that dropped his opponent unconscious on the canvas.

The card was headlined by former ONE welterweight champion Eduard Folayang looking to snap a three-fight losing skid, but ended up losing a decision to Zhang Lipeng after three rounds of action.

Ex-strawweight titleholder Alex Silva returned to the winning column with an unanimous decision victory over Miao Li Tao in the co-main event.

A heavyweight contest between Alain Ngalani and Thomas Narmo ended in a no-contest after “The Panther” landed an unintentional groin strike in the second stanza. Narmo will get a quick turnaround to welcome jiu-jitsu superstar Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida to MMA on Sept. 24.

The opening bout in Singapore featured lightweights Otgonbaatar Nergui and Rahul Raju, and Raju tapped his opponent with a rear-naked choke in the second stanza to improve to 8-6 in the sport.
