UFC 264 weigh-in results: Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor on point for main event, one fighter misses

New, 22 comments

Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor are on-course to complete their trilogy.

The lightweight stars successfully made weight at Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC 264, which takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday. Poirier and McGregor both made use of the one-pound allowance for a non-title fight, coming in at 156 pounds.

This will be the third fight between the two. McGregor defeated Poirier in their first meeting at featherweight at UFC 178 in 2014 and Poirier avenged that loss seven years later in a lightweight bout at UFC 257 this past January.

Former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos successfully weighed in at 156 pounds as a backup for the main event.

In the co-main event, welterweight contenders Gilbert Burns (170.5) and Stephen Thompson (170.5) also successfully made weight.

One fighter missed at Friday’s official weigh-ins. Bantamweight contender Irene Aldana weighed in at 139.5 pounds, 3.5 pounds over the limit for her main card bout opposite Yana Kunitskaya (134.5). Per the UFC, the bout will proceed at a catchweight with Aldana forfeiting 30 percent of her purse as penalty.
