Carlos Felipe called out former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski after his most recent UFC win over Jake Collier this past June, and now the company has booked the pair for its Oct. 16 show, multiple people with knowledge of the bout told MMA Fighting.

Felipe first announced the matchup during a live interview on Canal Encarada.

Arlovski (31-20, 2 NC) won back-to-back fights in 2020 over Philipe Lins and Tanner Boser before losing to rising prospect Tom Aspinall earlier this year. “Pitbull” rebounded with a decision victory over Chase Sherman in April.

Felipe (11-1) dropped a majority decision to Sergey Spivak in his octagon debut in July 2020. Since then he’s racked up a winning streak over Yorgan De Castro, Justin Tafa, and Collier. “Boi” finished six of seven in the Brazilian circuit before joining the UFC.

The UFC has yet to officially announce the card and its headlining bout. The lineup also includes a flyweight bout between Maryna Moroz and Luana Carolina.
