Featherweights Ludovit Klein and Nate Landwehr have a fight this October.
MMA Fighting confirmed with sources with knowledge of the matchup that Klein (17-3) and Landwehr (14-4) will meet at a UFC event on Oct. 16, with a location still to be determined. The bout was first reported by MMA DNA.
Klein, who hails from Slovakia, has split his first two UFC appearances, knocking out Shane Young in his debut at UFC 253 (a victory that was marred by Klein missing the featherweight limit by four pounds after stepping in on short notice) and then losing a unanimous decision to Mike Trizano this past May. Prior to the Trizano loss, Klein had won eight straight fights.
Landwehr is searching for his first win of 2021. He lost by first-round TKO to Julian Erosa in February, then was forced out of a June bout with Makwan Amirkhani due to injury. The former M-1 Global featherweight champion is 1-2 in the UFC so far.
