One of Bellator’s more intriguing bantamweight prospects will look to continue his winning ways next month when Danny Sabatello meets Johnny Campbell at Bellator 264.
MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck confirmed the booking Thursday following an initial report by Cageside Press.
Sabatello (10-1) will aim to build off his successful Bellator debut over former UFC contender Brett Johns. The 28-year-old has won five consecutive fights including a decision win over Taylor Moore in 2020 on a Dana White’s Contender Series event.
Campbell (21-13), likewise, hopes to continue his hot start in Bellator after submitting Henry Corrales via second-round rear-naked choke in May. Campbell has won six of his last seven fights and holds a notable win over current UFC bantamweight Kris Moutinho from 2019.
Bellator 264 takes places on August 13 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
The event is headlined by a middleweight championship bout between Gegard Mousasi and John Salter.
