On the Legacy Fighting Alliance’s first trip outside of the U.S., lightweight Kaynan Kruschewsky continued the promotion’s incredible string of knockouts on Sunday with a 62-second knockout of Junior Luiz that sounded more like someone snapping a wet towel.
See and listen for yourself:
The bomb left hand dropped Luiz immediately and the referee was quick to jump in for the save.
Kruschewsky improved to 11-1 with the victory. His bout with Luiz took place at LFA 112 in Rio de Janeiro, the second of two LFA cards hosted by the city this past weekend. LFA 111 aired Friday on UFC Fight Pass and also featured some incredible finishes.
Sunday’s show was headlined by a one-night, four-man welterweight grand prix. In the finals, Curitiba’s Carlos Leal defeated Uyran Carlos by unanimous decision to capture the tournament crown.
Leal’s win also made him the new LFA welterweight champion, a title that was vacated by Maycon Mendonca when Mendonca signed with Bellator in April.
