Sean O’Malley and Kris Moutinho will kick things off on the UFC 264 main card Saturday.

This is the UFC 264 live blog for Sean O’Malley vs. Kris Moutinho, a bantamweight main card bout for Saturday’s fight card at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

O’Malley was originally scheduled to take on vet Louis Smolka, but Smolka was forced out of the bout due to medical issues. Stepping in his place on short notice is octagon newcomer Moutinho, a Massachusetts native who’s won his past two on the regional circuit and in June quit his job at a paint factory to become a full-time fighter.

Moutinho is 8-4 overall as a professional and gets a big step up in competition by facing O’Malley, one of the most heavily hyped bantamweights in UFC history. After his first professional stumble in a fight against Marlon Vera, O’Malley rebounded with another highlight-reel knockout in a fight against Thomas Almeida. He is 5-1 overall in the UFC.
