A lightweight matchup has been added to the UFC’s August pay-per-view card.

Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that Rafael Fiziev and Bobby Green will fight at UFC 265. The event takes place Aug. 7 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. ESPN was first to report the booking.

Fiziev will make his fifth octagon appearance and enters the bout a winner of three straight. After losing his promotional debut against Magomed Mustafaev, “Ataman” picked up decision wins over Alex White and Marc Diakiese before opening up a lot of eyes in his most recent appearance, a first-round knockout win over Renato Moicano at UFC 256 in December.

Green had a very busy 2020 as he competed four times. “King” started out the year with three straight victories over Clay Guida, Lando Vannata and Alan Patrick before dropping a unanimous decision to Thiago Moises at UFC Vegas 12 this past October.

UFC 265 is headlined by an interim heavyweight title fight between Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane. The women’s bantamweight championship will also be on the line in the co-main event as Amanda Nunes, No. 1 ranked pound-for-pound female fighter in MMA Fighting’s global rankings, defends against Julianna Pena.
