The UFC has released the cold open for the trilogy fight between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor that headlines UFC 264 on Saturday.
Narrated by actor Ron Perlman, the piece highlights the history of Poirier and McGregor’s rivalry, which dates back to their first meeting at 2014 that McGregor won by knockout. A revenge knockout by Poirier nearly seven years later set the stage for the rubber match, which is expected to crown the next challenger to the lightweight title currently held by Charles Oliveira.
UFC 264 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and marks the first full capacity event for the promotion in its home city. The main card airs on ESPN+ pay-per-view after prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
Also featured in the video is the co-headliner between Stephen Thompson and Gilbert Burns, who hope to get back in the picture for the welterweight belt.
