Angela Lee has no preference in next title challenger ahead of atomweight grand prix, return to action

ONE championship atomweight titleholder Angela Lee is on the road to a return to action.

Lee recently got back in the gym to begin the process of preparing herself to defend her championship against whoever comes out of the yet-to-be-rescheduled atomweight grand prix. It was recently scheduled for an event in Singapore that was set to take place on May 28, but was postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

“Unstoppable” hasn’t competed since submitting Jingnan Xiong in the final seconds in October 2019 to regain her title.

In an exclusive interview with MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck, Lee discusses getting back to the gym in lieu of her return to action, the upcoming atomweight grand prix and why she has no preference in who comes out victorious, her brother and sister’s recent promotional wins, how she’s enjoying motherhood, how much having a daughter had changed her, raising her child at the same time her brother—ONE lightweight champion Christian Lee—welcomed his first child into the world, and more.
