When the dust settles in August, there will only a dozen fighters left competing for PFL championship glory.
The league announced its playoff schedule Tuesday, with upcoming events on Aug. 13, Aug. 19, and Aug. 27. All three events will take place at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla.
Following the conclusion of the PFL regular season in June, only four fighters will remain from the league’s six divisions: men’s heavyweight, light heavyweight, welterweight, lightweight, and featherweight, as well as women’s lightweight. Those 24 fighters then move on to the playoff semi-finals, with the winners then going to the finals later this year where they will fight for a league championship and a $1,000,000 prize.
Here is the playoff schedule:
Aug. 13 (ESPN2, 7 p.m. ET) — lightweight and featherweight
Aug. 19 (ESPN, 7 p.m. ET) — light heavyweight and welterweight
Aug. 27 (ESPN2, 8 p.m. ET) — heavyweight and women’s lightweight
All events will also be available on ESPN Deportes and the ESPN+ streaming service.
The 2021 PFL season is currently underway, with events still to come, including PFL 4 this Thursday.
