A welterweight clash between Impa Kasanganay and Carlston Harris is set for the Sept. 18 UFC Fight Night card, multiple people with knowledge of the booking told MMA Fighting.
The Fight Night show takes place in Las Vegas, but the promotion has yet to announce its headlining attraction.
Kasanganay (9-1) is coming off of a second-round submission win over Sasha Palatnikov, bouncing back from a loss to Joaquin Buckley and improving to 2-1 in the octagon since back-to-back decision victories on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Harris (16-4) fought around the world for the past few years before earning a contract with the UFC through White’s Looking For A Fight show in Abu Dhabi this past January, when he submitted Saygid Izagakhmaev at a UAE Warriors event.
Harris, the first Guyana-born fighter to ever compete in the UFC, won a “Performance of the Night” bonus for a first-round submission over Christian Aguilera in his octagon debut in May.
