Manon Fiorot will have to wait to get her first veteran challenge in the UFC.
Originally scheduled to fight Maryna Moroz this Saturday at UFC Vegas 28, Fiorot (6-1) now faces octagon newcomer Tabatha Ricci (5-0) in a flyweight bout. Ricci steps in as a short-notice replacement for Moroz. The UFC announced the change, but the reason for Moroz’s withdrawal was not disclosed.
MMA Junkie was first to report Moroz’s withdrawal and the new matchup.
Fiorot enters her second UFC bout on a six-fight win streak, with her only loss coming in her pro debut. The Frenchwoman made a successful UFC debut this past January with a first-round TKO of former Invicta FC standout Victoria Leonardo.
Stepping in on just days’ notice is Ricci, who is coming off of a trio of impressive victories in strawweight bouts for the Legacy Fighting Alliance. Ricci has finished her last two opponents, Shawna Ormsby and Vanessa Marie Grimes.
