A welterweight fight pitting Tim Means against Danny Roberts has been pulled from the UFC Vegas 29 card scheduled to take place this Saturday at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

UFC officials confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Tuesday.

Roberts was pulled from the card due to COVID-19 protocols and he’ll have to wait until a later date to book his next appearance in the octagon.

It’s expected that Means will get a new opponent with a rescheduled fight in the coming weeks. There’s no word on when Roberts will return to action.

Means teased on Twitter that he will have new fight news coming soon.

UFC Vegas 29 will be headlined by an exciting featherweight scrap between “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung and Dan Ige.

With Means vs. Roberts off the card, UFC Vegas 29 now proceeds with 12 total fights scheduled.

UPDATE: UFC officials have now confirmed that Means will compete at the UFC Vegas 30 card on June 26 in a fight against Nicolas Dalby after his original opponent Sergey Khandozhko suffered an injury.

Means vs. Dalby joins the card headlined by heavyweights Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov with the card scheduled to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
