Riding a five-fight win streak, Edwards was booked for his first-ever UFC main event against Cerrone in Kallang, Singapore. Though Edwards had knocked off some stiff competition, including the likes of Vicente Luque and Bryan Barberena, “Cowboy” was the most well-known name he had faced yet.
Edwards passed the test, winning a unanimous decision over Cerrone in a competitive five-round fight. Since then, “Rocky” has picked up more significant wins including a lopsided decision nod over former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. As of today, he has won eight straight fights (excluding a no contest against Belal Muhammad in his most recent appearance).
