The promotion on Thursday posted the opening video montage for UFC 262, which takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston and airs on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
The event sold out in minutes and, according to UFC president Dana White, broke the arena’s gate record which was previously held by the promotion.
Narrated by actor Ron Perlman, the event’s opening montage highlights the upcoming vacant lightweight title fight between Charles Oliveira and former Bellator champion Michael Chandler. The title will be up for grabs following the retirement of undefeated former champion Khabib Nurmagomedov after his submission win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in October.
The video also puts a spotlight on another pivotal 155-pound matchup between former interim champion Tony Ferguson and surging contender Beneil Dariush.
UFC 262 will serve as the second event the promotion has held in front of a sold out crowd since restrictions have been lightened due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
