Maurice Greene has revealed he’s no longer under contract with the UFC.

The popular heavyweight, who competed on season 28 of The Ultimate Fighter revealed on Tuesday via his Instagram that he has been released by the promotion following his unanimous decision loss to Marcos Rogerio de Lima at UFC Vegas 26 this past Saturday.

“The Crochet Boss” ends his UFC run on back-to-back losses, and defeats in four of his last five. Greene began his octagon career with three straight wins, including first-round finishes of Michel Batista and Junior Albini which propelled him into the top-15. The 34-year-old would go on to suffer stoppage losses to Sergey Pavlovich, Aleksei Oleinik and Greg Hardy, while also earning a submission win over Gian Villante this past June at UFC on ESPN 12.

Prior to appearing on TUF 28 in 2018, Greene had competed for LFA, King of the Cage, and Glory Kickboxing.
