Video: Mark Fairtex Abelardo scores nasty standing elbow knockout at ONE Championship: Fists of Fury 2

Mark Fairtex Abelardo made a statement in the opening bout of ONE Championship: Fists of Fury 2, a previously recorded event that took place in Singapore and aired Friday morning.

Abelardo, who had his back against the wall after consecutive losses under the ONE banner in 2020 that dropped his overall MMA record to 19-8, stopped Emilio Urrutia with a vicious standing elbow in the second round of their bantamweight bout.

In the main event, Kang Ji Won stopped Amir Aliakbari with a brutal left hand in the opening round. Kang is now scheduled to face Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend Marcus "Buchecha" Almeida on April 14.

Two featherweight bouts ended with big knockouts as Yoshiki Nakahara and Tang Kai finished Ruslan Emilbek Uulu and Ryogo Takahashi, respectively, in under three minutes.
