Flyweights looking to get back in the win column will square off in June.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a matchup between Montana De La Rosa and Ariane Lipski will take place on June 5 in a location yet to be announced. MMA Junkie was first to report the booking.
De La Rosa began her UFC career with three consecutive victories, but is 1-2-1 over her last four appearances. The 26-year-old began her 2020 with a unanimous decision win over Mara Borella at UFC Rio Rancho. In September, De La Rosa would lose a decision to Viviane Araujo and began her 2021 campaign in February, fighting Mayra Bueno Silva to a majority draw.
Lipski recently had her two-fight winning streak snapped by Antonina Shevchenko via second-round TKO at UFC 255 in November. “Queen of Violence” holds octagon victories over Isabela de Padua and a memorable kneebar submission of Luana Carolina this past July.
