UFC Vegas 21 live blog: Misha Cirkunov vs. Ryan Spann

This is the UFC Vegas 21 live blog for Misha Cirkunov vs. Ryan Spann, the light heavyweight co-headliner for Saturday’s fight card at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

The pair of light heavyweights aim to break into the top-10. Cirkunov, once one of the hottest prospects at 205 pounds after a quartet of stoppage wins in his first UFC appearances, is fighting back to the top after a 1-3 run depressed his stock. He most recently pulled out a submission win over up-and-comer Jimmy Crute, bouncing back after a quick knockout loss to Johnny Walker in his previous outing.

In Spann, Cirkunov faces another veteran who’s struggled to break through the back at 205 pounds. In his most recent outing, Spann’s octagon career took a downturn with a knockout loss to Walker, which snapped a four-fight octagon winning streak (and eight-bout streak overall).
