Saturday’s light heavyweight co-main event is a go after a minor scare.
Ryan Spann came in half a pound over the limit for his 205-pound bout opposite Misha Cirkunov on his initial attempt, but successfully made weight at 206 pounds (including a one-pound allowance for non-title bouts) on his second attempt after being given an additional hour to cut weight.
Cirkunov and Spann are scheduled to be the the penultimate bout at UFC Vegas 21 in Las Vegas.

The 25 other fighters competing Saturday all successfully made weight within the initial two-hour window, including welterweight headliners Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad. Edwards came in at 170.5 pounds, while Muhammad made championship weight at 170 on the dot. This will be Edwards’ first fight since July 20, 2019, while Muhammad fights for the second time in under a month as he steps in on short-notice to replace Khamzat Chimaev (COVID-19 symptoms).
