Lightweights Luigi Vendramini and Fares Ziam will attempt to score their first UFC winning streak when they battle at UFC 263 on June 12. Multiple people with knowledge of the booking confirmed the news to MMA Fighting following a report from MMAjunkie.
Vendramini (9-1) scored a devastating 72-second knockout over Jessin Ayari in October, stopping him with a kick to the head and collecting a $50,000 check for one of the best performances that night in Abu Dhabi. “The Italian Stallion” is 1-1 in the octagon with a defeat to Elizeu Zaleski at welterweight.
Ziam (11-3) also bounced back to the winning column in his most recent octagon appearance in October, defeating Jamie Mullarkey via decision 13 months after a decision defeat to Don Madge. “Smile Killer” finished four opponents in a 5-0 stretch that led him to the UFC.
