There was no shortage of intensity at Thursday’s weigh-ins for BKFC: KnuckleMania, but Paige VanZant and Britain Hart stole the show.
A fired-up Hart got right up in Paige VanZant’s face during their staredown following the event’s official weigh-ins. That prompted VanZant to shove Hart, leading to a brief scuffle and Hart cussing out the former UFC star ahead of their main event clash this Friday at at RP Funding Center in Tampa, Fla.
“This ain’t f*cking MMA, you can’t choke,” Hart said. “Get the f*cking rules right before you come into the f*cking game. How about that? Get the rules right. I will touch you first tomorrow.”
Hart continued to shout at VanZant after the staredown, with BKFC President David Feldman stepping in to keep them separated.
VanZant (8-5 in MMA) competes in bare-knuckle boxing for the first time Friday. She makes her BKFC after parting ways with the UFC with three losses in her last four fights for that promotion, and a 5-4 UFC record overall.
Hart makes her fourth appearance for the BKFC. She lost to Bec Rawlings and Christine Ferea in her first two outings, but scored a fourth-round knockout of Randine Elkholm at BKFC 14 this past November to set up her bout with “12 Gauge.”
The BKFC: KnuckleMania main card airs Friday at 9 p.m. ET live on FITE TV pay-per-view for $39.99. A free preliminary card takes place at 8 p.m on the BKFC YouTube channel.
