UFC Vegas 20 event is down another fight.
MMA Fighting confirmed with sources with knowledge of the change that Ramazan Kuramagomedov has been forced to withdraw from Saturday’s scheduled welterweight bout opposite Alex Oliveira due to an illness. With no time to find a replacement, Oliveira has also been pulled from the card.
Oliviera and Kuramagomedov were scheduled to compete on the preliminary portion of the event. It is not yet known if the matchmakers will attempt to reschedule the bout.
Kuramagomedov was to make his UFC debut in as a replacement opponent for Randy Brown, who withdrew from his bout with Oliveira for undisclosed reasons.
This is the second UFC Vegas 20 bout to fall through this week. Bantamweight Raoni Barcelos was also removed from Saturday’s card after testing positive for COVID-19. He was to fight newcomer Marcelo Rojo, himself a replacement for Raphael Assuncao.
UFC Vegas 20 will proceed with 10 scheduled bouts. See the updated card below:
