Ian Heinisch knows it’s ‘do or die’ for Kelvin Gastelum, predicts finish at UFC 258

Ian Heinisch is well aware of the opportunity in front of him, as well as the stakes involved in a pivotal middleweight matchup this weekend.

Heinisch will face former title challenger Kelvin Gastelum in a main card matchup at UFC 258. The event takes place Saturday night at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas and will be headlined by a welterweight title bout between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns.

Ahead of the 185-pound matchup, Heinisch joined MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck for a fight week discussion. “The Hurricane” talked his crazy 2020, what he thought watching Sean Strickland finish Brendan Allen after being scratched with a positive COVID-19 test two weeks prior, what his thoughts are on the movement and fresh faces in the middleweight rankings, his excitement to face a fighter with a name like Gastelum, knowing his opponent’s back is against the wall, and how he sees the fight playing out on Saturday.
