A lightweight matchup has been added to the UFC’s October slate of events.
Promotional officials announced on Wednesday that a matchup between Khama Worthy and Jai Herbert will take place at UFC Vegas 41. The event takes place Oct. 23 at the UFC APEX. MMA DNA was first to report the booking.
After bursting onto the scene with consecutive octagon finishes of Devonte Smith and Luis Pena, Worthy will look to get back in the win column after a pair of setbacks. “The Deathstar” was stopped in September by Ottman Azaitar before suffering a second straight first-round stoppage loss to Jamie Mullarkey at UFC 260 in March.
Herbert also enters the bout in a must-win situation after getting finished in his first two promotional appearances by Francisco Trinaldo and Renato Moicano. Prior to getting signed to the UFC, “The Black Country Banger” had won six straight, which included winning and defending the Cage Warriors lightweight title.
UFC Vegas 41 will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori.
