UFC 267: Blachowicz vs. Teixeira took place Oct. 30 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Welterweights Khamzat Chimaev (10-0) and Li Jingliang (18-7) collided in a main card battle. The fight aired live on ESPN+.

Round 1

Orthodox stance for both men and Chimaev shoots a double-leg almost immediately. Li blocks for a moment but Chimaev ducks under to the back and then just big-brothers Li into the air, carries him to the corner and dumps him, all while talking to Dana White. This dude is style, that’s for damn sure.

Li gets to his knees against the fence but Chimaev is staying on him. Chimaev has one hook and they are now in a hand fight for position. Li not giving up anything easily but Chimaev is able to get overtop him for a second and smack Li with some left hands. This allows Chimaev to pull Li off the fence for a moment and then slide to the back.

Chimaev has hooks in and he flattens Li out! Li not moving and Chimaev hammering rights and lefts to the head of Li. Herzog is close but Li starts moving and stays alive. Now Chimaev slides and arm under and he has a deep RNC!!! How is Li surviving?

Li turns in but then Chimaev switches sides and has another RNC in and this one is also deep! Li trying to hang on but he cannot! Li goes to sleep and that’s all she wrote! Perfect performance from Chimaev.
