UFC 267 live blog: Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira

This is the UFC 267 live blog for Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira, the light heavyweight main event for Saturday’s fight card at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.

Blachowicz, the No. 1 ranked light heavyweight in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings and No. 6 ranked pound-for-pound fighter in MMA, attempts the second defense of the title he won 13 months ago by stopping one-time title challenger Dominick Reyes. This time around, he’ll be facing a fighter fully suited to the 205-pound division after beating back middleweight champ Israel Adesanya in a March superfight at UFC 259.

Teixeira, the No. 2 ranked light heavyweight, gets his second shot at UFC gold on the strength of a five-fight winning streak, the same number he won before facing Jon Jones in a failed bid for the light heavyweight belt at UFC 172. After several ups and downs at 205 pounds, the Brazilian slugger has looked stronger than ever, most recently stopping one-time title challengers Anthony Smith and Thiago Santos.
