Jorge Masvidal is getting very frustrated with the UFC as he awaits word on his next fight.

The former two-time title contender hasn’t competed since April when he suffered a knockout loss to reigning UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman but Masvidal says he’s been anxiously awaiting word on a date an opponent for his return to action.

“I’ve been freaking going in and out of Hunter [Campbell’s] office and calling him and they still haven’t given me a date or opponent,” Masvidal said when speaking to MMA Uncensored. “I wanted to fight this year. I don’t know what the f*ck’s going to happen.”

Masvidal, who was promoting his Gamebred Fighting Championships card, added that it’s only a matter of time before he goes nuclear as he continues to grow angrier and angrier while anticipating an offer.

According to Masvidal, his agitation lies solely with the UFC while he’s been made to wait instead of starting his training camp for a fight before the end of 2021.

“I already told them give me a f*cking deadline before I go full blast takeover,” Masvidal said. “Like one of those bad governments when they get flipped and stuff. I need a fight, Hunter!

“Make sure the clickbaiters put ‘Masvidal demands fight soon’ and then under put Hunter [Campbell]. They’ll know what I mean.”

As the UFC’s chief business officer, Hunter Campbell often times gets involved in fight negotiations alongside matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard. It appears Campbell has been the point of contact for Masvidal as he tries to book his next fight in the UFC.

While there are certainly a variety of options available to him, Masvidal says one person who has been taken out of the running is Leon Edwards after they’ve got back-and-forth through interviews and social media ever since a physical altercation between them more than two years ago.

On that night in London, Masvidal ended up swinging punches at Edwards after they got into a shouting match backstage following the UFC card that night.

Despite the bad blood between them, the welterweights were never booked for a fight and it appears Masvidal is moving on from that potential matchup for good.

“That guy is such a talking f*cking machine,” Masvidal said about Edwards. “Cause the contract’s in front of his face, he’s said no like two or three times already. We’re already moving on. We’re not gonna saying names or nothing. I do a lot of this when it comes to contracts. It’s either yes or no when a contract gets put in front of me.

“Who is the highest ranked guy with the most money I can make, that’s who I’m going with. Leon was talking about I turned down the fight. No, you f*cking moron of a person. I fought for the belt twice. Why would I fight you? Who the f*ck are you again? Now I got some spare time, I’ll beat this guy’s f*cking teeth in but he’s nowhere to be found. So we might have to move on cause he’s a coward.”

Following Masvidal’s statement, Edwards fired back on social media while taking aim at the proposed matchup that never happened.
