Valerie Loureda will get the chance to bounce back from her first pro loss close to home.
Promotional officials revealed on Wednesday that Loureda will face Taylor Turner in a preliminary bout at Bellator 271. The event takes place Nov. 12 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., with the main card airing on Showtime following prelims on MMA Fighting.
After a 3-0 start to her professional career, Loureda dropped a unanimous decision to Hannah Guy at Bellator 259 in May. Prior to that, “Master” picked up a pair of finishes over Colby Fletcher and Tara Graff, along with a unanimous decision against Larkyn Dasch at Bellator 222.
Turner returns to the Bellator cage for the first time since a first-round TKO loss to Alejandra Lara at Bellator 225 in August 2019. The 38-year-old was victorious in her first promotional bout, stopping Heather Hardy via TKO at Bellator 222. In her most recent appearance, Turner snapped a two-fight skid with a submission victory in just 22 seconds for Tennessee regional promotion Valor FC.
Additionally, the promotion announced that Bruna Ellen will meet Desiree Yanez in a flywight matchup, Roman Feraldo will square off against Robert Turnquest in welterweight action, and Jordan Newman will face Shane O’Shea in a 185-pound bout.
